On November 15th, the Gulei Development Zone in Zhangzhou announced the public participation and disclosure of social stability risks for the integrated project of 500000 tons/year butyl octanol and raw material supporting engineering of Longxiang Hengyu Chemical Co., Ltd.

 The project is located in Gulei Port Economic Development Zone, Zhangzhou, covering an area of approximately 789 acres. It plans to construct multiple production facilities, including 500000 tons/year of butanol and octanol, with a construction period from March 2025 to December 2026.

 The promotion of this project will further expand the market supply capacity of butanol and octanol.

3、 Progress of Guangxi Huayi New Materials 320000 tons/year butanol and octanol project

On October 11th, the basic engineering design review meeting for the 320000 tons/year butyl octanol and acrylic ester project of Guangxi Huayi New Materials Co., Ltd. was held in Shanghai.

 The project is located in the Petrochemical Industrial Park of Qinzhou Port Economic and Technological Development Zone, Guangxi, covering an area of 160.2 acres. The main construction contents include a 320000 ton/year butanol and octanol unit and an 80000 ton/year acrylic acid isooctyl ester unit.

 The project construction period is 18 months, and it is expected to significantly increase the market supply of butanol and octanol after production.

4、 Overview of Fuhai Petrochemical’s Butanol Octanol Project

On May 6th, the social stability risk analysis report of the “Low carbon Reconstruction and Comprehensive Utilization Demonstration Project of Aromatic Raw Materials” of Fuhai (Dongying) Petrochemical Technology Co., Ltd. was publicly disclosed.

 The project includes 22 sets of process units, among which the 200000 ton butanol and octanol unit is an important component.

 The total investment of the project is as high as 31.79996 billion yuan, and it is planned to be built in Dongying Port Chemical Industry Park, covering an area of approximately 4078.5 acres.

 The implementation of this project will further strengthen the supply capacity of the butanol and octanol market.

5、 Bohua Group and Yan’an Nenghua Butanol Octanol Project Cooperation

On April 30th, Tianjin Bohai Chemical Group and Nanjing Yanchang Reaction Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. signed a technical cooperation agreement on butanol and octanol;

 On April 22nd, the expert review meeting for the feasibility study report of the carbon 3 carbonylation deep processing project of Shaanxi Yan’an Petroleum Yan’an Energy and Chemical Co., Ltd. was held in Xi’an.

 Both projects aim to improve the production efficiency and product quality of butanol and octanol through technological innovation and industrial upgrading.

 Among them, the Yan’an Energy and Chemical Company project will rely on existing propylene and synthetic gas to produce octanol, achieving strong and complementary chain in the propylene industry.
